People Mover
IntroductionThe Detroit People Mover (DPM) is a fully-automated light rail system that operates on an elevated single track loop in Detroit's central business district. The integration of eight of the thirteen People Mover stations into pre-existing structures links over 9 million square feet that can be traversed unimpeded by outside elements. Normal weekday operating hours are 7am to 11pm, with an extension to midnight on Friday. Weekend hours are 9am to midnight on Saturday and 12 noon to 8pm on Sunday. |
