Incheon International Airport
Seoul, South Korea

Introduction

Located 52km west of Seoul, Incheon is Seoul's new international airport. Completed in late 2000 after 4.5 years of construction, the passenger terminal is the largest building in South Korea, covering 496,000 square meters. The airport is designed mainly for international traffic, with 38 of the 44 gates designated exclusively for international flights.

Transportation Centre

The Transportation Center is a 2.5 million square meter facility that connects the main terminal building, the 5000-space parking lots, and transit facilities. There is also space allocated for a future rail link, with a subway connection to Gimpo Airport scheduled to complete by 2005 and a link to Seoul by 2007.
