GO Transit runs trains between the Toronto and its surrounding areas. Destinations in the
west go as far as Hamilton and Milton, to Oshawa in the east and to Richmond Hill, Markham, and Newmarket in the north.
They also run bus services in the outlying areas. The following tickets displayed are student monthly passes. | |||

![]() The Toronto Transit Commission runs the entire public transportation grid in the city of Toronto, with 1,468 buses, 248 streetcars, 672 subway cars, 28 RT cars, 142 active Wheel-Trans/community buses, 7 bus garages, 3 subway carhouses, 2 streetcar carhouses, 66 stations (subway + RT), and 278 escalators, including two moving walkways. Passengers use Metropasses, which are fare cards with a magnetic strip allowing unlimited travel for the month. Other passengers deposit tokens (on the right) into fare boxes. | |||
