Pre Rup is believed to be a royal crematorium, with its name meaning "turning the body", a traditional cremation method. Built in the mid-10th century on a tree-less plain, the pyramid's top tier has 5 towers and is a good place to watch the sunset as there are no tall trees blocking the light.
