Chiang Mai Photo Gallery - Outdoor Markets

Chiang Mai has a number of outdoor market streets although they aren't necessarily open every day. The Saturday Night Street Market is open just that day to the south of the city wall along Wualai Street. I thought the things they sell across these markets are pretty much the same, although a stroll after a meal is always a good way to digest. To the east of the city wall near the river is the Chiang Mai Night Bazaar, which spills onto the length of the street and a few buildings on both sides. This place is regularly open at night, and was once a place where Chinese traders stopped en route to Burma. It wasn't crowded during my visit and there were plenty of tables for me to sit down, relax, and enjoy some higher-end street food.
