The Bloomingdale Line once served the factory neighbourhoods northwest of the Loop that produced bicycles and furniture, among other products. When train service stopped in the 1990s, the city thought of turning the elevated line into a bike trail, and eventually it was converted into an urban park that opened in 2015. Stretching 2.7 miles long, this new park has been dubbed the "606".My journey begins at Damen station in Wicker Park, heading north towards Bloomingdale Avenue to enter the 606.

Exit the 606 onto Humboldt Boulevard, a shady and stately street that runs north-south. It was one of 4 broad boulevards built in 1869 in this upscale neighbourhood.
