Copenhagen Photo Gallery - Maersk Tower Viewpoint

Just a little bit behind the Lakes is an observation deck that is not typically featured in the tourist literature. On the 15th floor of University of Copenhagen's Maersk Tower is a free viewpoint with a panoramic view of the city from a different perspective.

The tower itself has a few architectural highlights. The building opened in 2017 and stands 75m high with 15 floors. The external facade is covered with 3300 copper shutters. It is home to the University of Copenhagen's Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences with research laboratories, offices, and classrooms.

It feels more like a lounge for the university's students and workers but there are a few chairs and a long line of floor-to-ceiling windows facing the best view of the city on 1 side. The other sides are not accessible to the general public.
