Doha Port Photo Gallery - Box Park

The Doha Port area today is a nice place for a walk. Just steps from the city centre, there is plenty of parkland and waterfront promenade where you can enjoy views of the skyline and yachts. Along the way, there are a few purpose-made attractions to entice you to stay.

I came early in the morning during Ramadan before it got too hot. This area barely has any shade and even during March, it can get quite warm during the day. With the city's shops and restaurants shut during the daytime, there wasn't much to browse within the buildings but plenty of views outside to enjoy.

Box Park is made of repurposed colourful shipping containers along the waterfront, supposedly turned into shops, restaurants, and offices.

Do head across the street, where the waterfront promenade continues beside the flour mill. On the other side is Doha's modern skyline. You won't be disappointed with the view!
