Graz's historic centre is not that large and is very walkable. Set off early and enjoy the streets all to yourself.

The Opera House opened in 1899 as the municipal theatre and is the 2nd largest in the country.

The Landhaus was built in 1557 and features a Renaissance arcaded courtyard.

The Joanneum quarter is a renovated cultural area with a new set of escalators taking visitors from the public square to an events and exhibition centre below.
