Taking place on Feb 8, 2025, shortly after the lunar new year, the Guildford market held at the Cathedral showcases traditional foods, musical performances, and arts and crafts in an indoor take of a typical festival market in Hong Kong with about 60 stalls. The Lunar New Year began on January 29. At the entrance is a former KMB 11m 3-axle double-decker Metrobus that was manufactured in 1989 and served until 2007. This bus was bought from KMB for preservation following its retirement and when the owner decided to move to the UK, the bus came with him, arriving in Southampton in 2024.
A large part of the church's seating area has been cleared to set up the booths, and it was already quite busy not long after it opened. While the website indicated visitors need to pre-book their tickets and walk-ins are not allowed, they still put up a QR code to buy tickets on site. Admission ranges from 1-1.5 pounds depending on the time of day.
