
The Hong Kong Museum of Art received a donation of 123 artworks from the family of local calligraphist Jat See-yeu, who passed away in 2009. 85 of these went on display at the museum in 2023 to 2024.Mr. Jat studied under local ink painting master Liu Shou-kwan in the 1960s and 70s. Despite the traditional aspects of calligraphy, he attempted to innovate and promote it, earning a Medal of Honour in 2001.
