Major Bus Events in 2023 (1st Half) - Solar Panel Bus VG 6020

KMB branded one of its buses with a special solar energy theme to promote sustainability. A number of buses already have solar panels on the roof, with the aim to install on half of its buses this year.
On Sunday March 26, KMB offered free rides on this specific bus only plying route 96R to Sai Kung's Wong Shek Pier. With only 3 departures available in either direction, I set off bright and early for the first 9am service from Diamond Hill.

We pulled into Wong Shek Pier at the other end of the line an hour later.

I returned on the 10:30am trip, which took an hour to complete the journey. With the next departure at 1:30pm, I saw it parked at the Choi Hung bus terminus during its lunch hour.

The bus returned shortly after on the 1:30pm run.
