Hong Kong Drone Gallery - Nam Cheong

Sham Shui Po and Cheung Sha Wan are associated with older run-down residences, poverty, and industrial buildings. In the 1970s, the district was home to a vibrant garment industry, then once the factories moved to cheaper locations up north, an office district for exporters and merchandising companies.

The newly reclaimed waterfront has been disused despite its prime location and sea views. With the opening of the Tung Chung Line, access to Central's offices has vastly improved with the opening of Nam Cheong station. What was once a sleepy area occupied by a wholesale fish market and surrounded by a lot of poor people has suddenly become more desirable.

This section of waterfront faces the western edge of Hong Kong Island.

Cullinan West is a 7-highrise tower development on top of Nam Cheong station along with a few other shorter blocks. In front of it facing the waterfront is the Cheung Sha Wan Wholesale Market.

Next door are 2 public housing estates, Hoi Lok Court and Hoi Ying Estate. In front of it is a luxury residence estate under construction. Grand Victoria opened for sale in March 2021 and construction is expected to complete by 2023.

This section of town is quite industrial, with a few dockyards, bus depot, and a naval base. In the distance is the container port.

Looking back, you will see many residential blocks lining the waterfront further down the Tung Chung Line.

Grand Victoria consists of 3 phases with a total of 11 towers ranging from 25-29 stories.
