Hong Kong Drone Gallery - The New Route 6 (Cross Bay Link)

Route 6 is a new highway that will eventually connect West Kowloon with LOHAS Park with several tunnel and bridge sections that will drastically reduce travel times. The Cross Bay Link was designed to relieve traffic congestion from the newly developed LOHAS Park to Kowloon through a bypass avoiding the current Tseung Kwan O Tunnel. The bridge and tunnel project will cut across Junk Bay, then tunnel through Devil's Peak and emerge in Lam Tin on the Kowloon side. The 1.8km long bridge will link LOHAS Park with the 2.2km Tseung Kwan O - Lam Tin Tunnel. They are expected to divert about 40% of the traffic currently using the Tseung Kwan O Tunnel to reach Kowloon, or up to 36,000 vehicles a day. Both opened in December 2022.
