Along the lush hillsides above Tsuen Wan are 2 older blocks from the original Shek Lei Estate, which were converted into interim housing in 1996. As part of the Chief Executive's 2020 Policy Address, these blocks will be redeveloped from late 2022 as it is no longer cost-effective to maintain.
