The southeastern part of Lamma is serene with a few small villages and beaches. Tourists haven't discovered this section yet as they frequent the family walk between the 2 main towns, so you're unlikely to encounter crowds, especially on the trek up to Ling Kok Shan.
The cheaper and smaller kai-to ferries from Aberdeen makes the short trip to Mo Tat, 1.3km east of Sok Kwu Wan with a small beach.
A long staircase leads up to Ling Kok Shan. It's a good hike but not recommended during the hot and humid summer months as there is barely any shade on this stretch.
