The Ma Tso Lung viewpoint is perched on a hillside overlooking the fish ponds on the northern frontier with Shenzhen in the background. However, with the Lok Ma Chau Loop project happening nearby, there has been increased purchasing activity amongst these fish ponds, prompting concerns whether they will disappear one day. The countryside along these stretches is quite lush and serene.
