Located near Airside, The Twins are a pair of towers which includes a large new SOGO department store. Retailer Lifestyle International paid top dollar for the land in 2016 at the height of Hong Kong's retail and commercial boom. At the time, the government had slated the area to become a new CBD, but following protests and COVID, Hong Kong's retail environment deteriorated significantly. To make matters worse, tourists from mainland China no longer spend freely on big ticket items. The government decided to downgrade this area's CBD ambitions and built a lot of public housing blocks instead.
The retailer also fell into financing difficulties and was only able to secure a new loan with 19 banks at the last minute in mid-2026 that was smaller than the original one.
The first tower opened in November 2024 and the second tower, SNDO, opened in late 2025. Not all the floors are open yet but of particular interest is a public space near the top of the building that features an open balcony with plenty of good views.

After checking out the views during the day, do consider coming back at night for a different perspective.

The ground floor's interior courtyard has a good mix of black and white colours.
