October 2, 2020A new bus interchange at the Kowloon side of the Tseung Kwan O Tunnel opened today. It only applies for outbound traffic with 25 routes stopping here and offering interchange discounts. The structure is basic with a covered top, monitors showing arrival times, and a public toilet. KMB staff were on hand to give out promotion leaflets for their new 98 bus service that inaugurated on the same day and face mask covers.
Route 98 is designed to be an express route linking the otherwise desolate LOHAS Park with Kowloon East. With sparse train frequencies, journey time on the bus can beat the train and in more comfort. The terminus is just beyond the residential area in an industrial estate further south.
