Hong Kong Photo Gallery - Mid-Autumn Festival

The Mid-Autumn Festival takes place on the 15th day of the 8th month in the lunar calendar. Celebrating the moon and to give thanks to the harvest, it is believed to have originated over 3000 years ago, with lanterns and moon gazing being major traditions. Although not as extravagant as Chinese New Year, there are smaller decorations around the city to celebrate this festival.
