While the Peak Tram is quite famous, I prefer taking bus #15 uphill from Central. Sit on the right for the views as the climb along Stubbs Road is spectacular. After passing the petro station on Peak Road, move to the left as the southern part of Hong Kong Island comes into view. While the Peak can get busy, it doesn't take long before you can get front row seats to the skyline and harbour view. The Lion's Pavilion is just a few steps away but instead of fighting the crowds on the open-air deck, head downstairs and the view is just as good even though it is ever so slightly lower. Then walk 15 minutes into Lugard Road and the trees will start to clear and the views will unravel.
