That move was controversial, as some vendors decided to retire as the city's oldest outdoor fabric market was shut down after 45 years to be redeveloped into public housing.
Named Fabrimark, it uses a warm burnt orange colour logo to represent a new beginning for fashion design, once considered a sunset industry.
