Located on the bottom floors of a new residential redevelopment project, the Hong Kong Design Centre officially opened on January 1, 2025. While they have a regular line-up of good exhibitions, their large souvenir shop is worth a visit for some locally-themed products. There are many postcards on sale featuring beautiful drawings of the skyline and local icons such as overhanging neon signs, double-decker trams, and foods.
They've also featured a few local products such as shrimp paste, which is a good ingredient for stir-frying, preserved meat sausage, which goes well with a steamed or claypot-cooked rice, and oyster sauce.
Plush products are also on offer, a popular collectible for adults these days around the world.
