Shatin - Ten Thousand Buddhas Monastery

Tucked away on Shatin's hillsides, the Ten Thousand Buddhas Monastery actually has over 12,000 Buddha statues and dates from the 1950s. A path leads from behind the IKEA up a long staircase to reach the monastery part way uphill. Unfortunately, a sign warns of fake monks roaming around looking for money. The real ones won't do this.
