Hong Kong Photo Gallery - Station Rail Voyage

2 retired trains and a number of artifacts are on display at Hung Hom station as part of the MTR's 45th anniversary. The Kowloon-Canton Railway opened in 1910, and the operator merged with the MTR in 2007.

Admission is free and must be pre-booked in advance on the dedicated website with timed entry for a 75-minute slot.

Located on the former through train platform that once served cross-border trains to Guangzhou and beyond, the "yellow head" was the rolling stock on the East Rail after it was electrified.

Across the platform is the Mid-life Refurbishment (MLR) train type that retired in 2022.

The final train on display is the diesel electric locomotive "I.B. Trevor" that operated from 1961 to 2021.

Upstairs, there is a large exhibition area with lots of artifacts of the city's railway history.
