Hong Kong Photo Gallery - Yuen Tsuen Ancient Trail

The Yuen Tsuen Ancient Trail was once the key route over the hills connecting the two towns with many villages in between, some with a history of 400 years. Farm products were sent by donkeys to Tsuen Wan for trading.

The Tsuen Wan end of the trail starts just across from the Adventist Hospital. The initial climb is arduous with many staircases, followed by a steep incline, followed by a relatively flat section with panoramic views from the eastern end of the harbour all the way to the airport.

A sheltered rest area sits at the top of a grassy area with the best views all around. The paths leading to this spot are very well-paved with quality stones.
