Hong Kong Photo Gallery - Lung Kwu Tan

Lung Kwu Tan is located on the western side of the New Territories beyond Tuen Mun. With a perfect sunset-viewing location, this part of the city is rural and dotted with industrial works, power stations, landfills, and a port. Chinese White Dolphins and turtles have to navigate through a lot of pollution, and even then, further reclamation is planned to extend the coastline along the 5 villages in the area.

Lung Kwu Tan is quite isolated, connected by a 2-lane road and physically separated from the rest of Tuen Mun by the Castle Peak ridge. Almost 2000 people live primarily in 3-storey lowrises homes.

Dirt paths lead from behind the Lau Ancestral Hall to the rocky outcrops of the ridge.
