The Kwun Tong Town Centre redevelopment was first announced back in 1998. The site covers 5.35 hectares and the government aims to redevelop a series of old and dilapidated buildings into a new civic centre, commercial highrise, and residential quarters, affecting about 5000 residents.2014 Visible signs of the project were evident with a new residential building being the first landmark building to appear.
