Hue Photo Gallery - Minh Mang's Tomb

My morning was spent at 3 royal tombs outside the city, such as this one for Minh Mang completed in 1843. There are far more than 3 tombs in Hue's outskirts, which could easily take several days to visit. Minh Mang ruled from 1820-1841. His tomb was patterned after the Ming tombs in Beijing and looks like a palace with pavilions, courtyards, and gardens. ain and fog give these tombs a very eerie feeling. They are spacious, with numerous buildings spaced out by courtyards.
