Kyoto Tofukuji Photo Gallery

Kyoto has many locations to see fall foliage amidst a temple setting. My first stop of the day was Tofukuji, whose river valley and small slopes offer a fairly unique experience when the vegetation turns fiery red.
There probably is something great about this place if the crowd is this big before opening.

A long narrow passageway leads uphill to a manicured garden. With such a huge crowd, the traffic into and out of this small section is especially bad.
