London Photo Gallery - 2 Finsbury Avenue

In 2016, British Land began redeveloping Broadgate Campus, located in the heart of the City just a short walk from Liverpool Street station. Sir Robert McAlpine was appointed to deliver a number of new office buildings.

2 Finsbury Avenue is part of the masterplan and consists of 2 towers, with the taller one rising 38 floors and the shorter tower rising 23 floors. The two are linked by a 12-storey podium that will feature a winter garden. The taller tower topped out in January 2026 and completion is expected by mid-2027.

Following piling, workers built the superstructure upwards while another team excavated the 3 basement floors beneath and around the piles. Known as the top-down approach, it saved 9 months of work.

Hedge fund Citadel has signed up for 250,000 sq ft of office space, roughly a third of the development.

As part of the Open Doors event, the construction site opened up to visitors in March 2026 to increase awareness of careers in the industry. Tours were about 2 hours long with visits to the site office as well as the 33rd floor, which is still under construction with the cladding still uninstalled, so you get to feel the weather while enjoying wide views of London.

With the building still under construction, workers use the exterior lift to reach the different floors.
