London Photo Gallery - Aerials (Rotterdam - City)

The flight path into City from the west offers spectacular views from the City, past the Shard and Canary Wharf barely above the skyscrapers' roofs. City Airport is just a short few stops from Canary Wharf so it is quite convenient for business travellers. We approached London from the east above the southern suburbs before turning near Elephant and Castle to land from the west. Elephant and Castle is undergoing regeneration with many highrise residentials under construction. Canada Water is also undergoing regeneration and sits on top of 2 lines just a short ride from either Canary Wharf or London Bridge. There is also plenty of construction at Greenwich Peninsula, where the Thames borders the site on 3 sides. The full flight report : BA 4457
