London Photo Gallery - Aerials (Hamburg - Heathrow)

The flight path into Heathrow from the east offers spectacular views from the City. I always try to get a right window seat and hope the prevailing winds work in my favour. Today, I'm flying into Heathrow from Hamburg in the afternoon under sunny summer skies as another heat wave begins. After circling east of the city in a holding pattern, we entered London from the northwest, turned almost 180 degrees to head back east. From my window I had Central London and the river Thames in full view.
