A significant portion of the DLR fleet has reached the end of its design life after having operated since the 1990s. With population growth expected along a number of its stations, a replacement program is under way, albeit delayed. TfL plans to introduce 54 new air-conditioned trains to the network by 2026 to replace the 33 oldest trains, although their roll out has been beset by "complex challenges". These include a contractor working at the Beckton depot going into administration. This gallery showcases the old rolling stock that is slated for retirement soon, as well as photos of stations and associated infrastructure.
