A significant portion of the DLR fleet has reached the end of its design life after having operated since the 1990s. With population growth expected along a number of its stations, a replacement program is under way, albeit delayed. TfL plans to introduce 54 new air-conditioned trains to the network by 2026 to replace the 33 oldest trains, although their roll out has been beset by "complex challenges". These include a contractor working at the Beckton depot going into administration.This gallery showcases the old rolling stock that is slated for retirement soon, as well as photos of stations and associated infrastructure.
