Delcy Morelos's origo

Delcy Morelos created this installation made of soil, water, clay, organic plant matter, and fragrant spices in the heart of the Barbican. Inspired by ancestral Andean and Amazonian ideas, it symbolizes the life-sustaining power of soil. This is the material from which everything starts from and ends.

It took her and her team a month to create this installation with over 10 tons of earth and clay.
