London Photo Gallery - Museum of Freemasonry

Freemasonry's history dates back to the medieval stonemasons with underlying core values such as morality, charity, and obedience to the law. The Premier Grand Lodge was founded in London in 1717. It would become the United Grand Lodge and host 170,000 members, with its headquarters in Freemasons' Hall on Great Queen Street. This site has been home to masonic halls since 1775, with the current Art Deco building completed in 1933 and surviving the Blitz.

Within this building is the Museum of Freemasonry where you can learn more about the oldest fraternal organization in the world, which included some famous historic leaders as members such as George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, and Winston Churchill.
