The White City area just north of the Westfield shopping centre is undergoing major 8 billion pound redevelopment with lots of new residential buildings. The local plan states the regeneration should create 6000 new homes and bring about 20,000 new jobs. The new homes will mostly be in the eastern part of the 110-hectare site, as pictured below. These homes are just a short walk from either White City or Wood Lane Underground stations. Across the street, the listed BBC Television Centre is also undergoing redevelopment into a mixed-use centre that will include new homes.
