Besides the massive Green Quarter redevelopment, there are also new residential buildings under construction next to Southall station.

Merrick Place is on the station's south side and will include 4 buildings from 15-23 storeys to house 575 new homes. Being next to the Elizabeth Line station, there won't be any parking facilities on site but there will be 926 bicycle parking spaces. Completion is expected by 2026.

Across the tracks to the northeast of the train station is the Southall Park Avenue redevelopment that will have 5 blocks of 5-25 storeys.

Before these new buildings, this neighbourhood is mostly lowrise residential, so the population density will soon substantially increase.
