Macau Photo Gallery - Macau Tower

Located away from the built-up areas and by the water, Macau Tower offers an unobstructed view of the city as well as some daredevil activities with a view.

Inspired by Auckland's Sky Tower, one of Macau's most prominent casino operators, Stanley Ho, decided to build one in Macau in 1998. Reaching a height of 338m, the tower opened in 2001.

Looking west, Zhuhai is across the water on the other side.

Looking north, the main part of Macau is the historic centre that now has UNESCO World Heritage status. The gold skyscraper is one of Stanley Ho's casinos, the new Grand Lisboa.

While most of the new casinos are on the Cotai side, there are a few here as well. Beyond the sea are Hong Kong's mountains in the background.

Cotai and Coloane are the main islands to the south.

Many skyscraper developments continue along Zhuhai's coast.
