Mumbai Photo Gallery
Dr. Bhau Daji Lad Museum

Located a bit further out from the city centre, the Dr. Bhau Daji Lad Museum is the city's oldest and exhibits the city's history and culture. The museum is housed in a historic building of over 130 years old in the Renaissance Revival style.

The museum features many artifacts showcasing Indian design and craftsmanship.

The collection consists of many different types of materials, such as this huge brass plate.

This fish is made from shells.

The ivory trade is illegal nowadays and it is ironic to see elephants being featured.

The building has been beautifully restored with vivid colours radiating from the walls and ceilings.

Upstairs, figurines describe the city's development, professions, and culture.
