Norway Road Trip Photo Gallery - Trollstigen

Setting off from Stryn, it is already a long day sightseeing at the Geirangerfjord. However, with the summer midnight sun, you likely can continue past Geiranger to 1 more major attraction in the area, Trollstigen. After the Eagle Road, continue north along the 63, which will dip into the sea at Eidsdal for a short ferry crossing. The 63 resumes on the other side of the coast towards the viewpoint.

This road across the mountains was opened by King Haakon VII in 1936 with 11 hairpin turns. If coming from the south, you will start at the maximum elevation of 858m above sea level and descend down.

Easy paths lead from the large parking lot to a wide viewpoint platform where you can see the hairpin bends from 200m above.

Despite what they look like from above, it is quite easy to drive this road and there is enough space for cars to pass each other.
