Singapore Central Business District Part 2

I looked for a lunch venue with a view, and went up a bank tower to find it.

Yueh Hai Ching is the oldest Teocew temple in the country, dating back to 1826. A 5-year restoration has been completed, including over 100 ceramic figurines on the roof that depict Chinese classics.

You enter Fuk Tak Chi Museum from a seemingly historic entrance, but it has been modernized into a hotel. The temple that was once here was built in the early 19th century by Cantonese and Hakka immigrants to give thanks for their safe journey to Singapore.

Behind the boutique hotel is a sheltered street with restored shophouses on both sides.

Unsatisfied with the cloudy view at lunch (but the food was great), I went up another skyscraper for their rooftop bar. The skies have cleared a bit by then and I enjoyed my sling in the cooler altitude.

As night falls, this rooftop bar 282m above the city transforms into a hip clubbing venue for high society. $30 well spent.
