St. Moritz Photo Gallery - Albula Railway Museum

With thick clouds in the sky and a dusting of snow on the ground, a good indoor activity is to visit the Albula Railway Museum in Bergün, north of St. Moritz. The museum is right at the train station and showcases the engineering legacy of building the Bernina Line.

The train ride to Bergün is quite scenic, taking about 45 minutes on a local train. I was lucky to find an empty sightseeing car whose windows could open.

The railway loops and curves throughout many bridges and tunnels to conquer the elevation changes. It is a remarkable piece of engineering.

With a Swiss Travel Pass, not only is the train ride to the museum is free, the museum admission itself is also included.
