Eating Out in Taipei Photo Gallery - High Class Edition

L'atelier of Joël Robuchon opened in 2009 in the upscale Bellavita mall in Xinyi district. Seated at their counter that overlooks the kitchen, I chose their set menu where I could pick 2 appetizers, 1 main, dessert, and tea for TWD $2580. Apparently, they are famous for their bread basket, which nobody can finish and they happily pack it up for you to bring home and enjoy later. Their mashed potatoes are also heavenly.

Smith & Wollensky in Nanshan Plaza has great views of the city and is famous for steaks. However, I went for a more lighter fish option.

One floor below, Saffron 46 serves Indian cuisine in a modern setting. Tables by the window have a minimum charge, and prices here are quite reasonable for the quality.

Da Wan offers a bar-style setting with staff barbecuing premium beef in front of patrons.
