Taipei Photo Gallery - Nanmen Market After Reconstruction

Just across the street from the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, Nanmen Market re-opened in October 2023 after a 4-year reconstruction. A new 12-storey building connected to the MRT was built, with the market occupying the ground and basement floors, while a food court is placed on the 2nd floor.

This market's history dates back to 1907. Known as the Chiensui Market at the time, its name was changed to Nanmen Market in 1946 and moved to this location in 1981.
