Taitung Photo Gallery - Night Markets

Taiwan Flag

Night markets are a core part of the Taiwan dining experience. A long stretch of Zhengqi Road that passes through the Sheraton Hotel is pedestrianized at night with plenty of dining options. Also pay attention to the fruit stalls, which offer some unique local creations such as sweetsop.

Sweetsops are grown in this part of the island, so prices here will likely be cheapest.

For a higher-end walking experience, the Tiehua Music Village next to the old train station is beautifully lit with lanterns and lined with small stalls. This night market puts less emphasis on street dining but more on handicrafts and boutique products with a cultural tone.
