Multicultural Toronto - The New T&T @ Empress Walk

On October 8, 2026, Asian supermarket chain T&T opened a 66,000 square foot shop at North York's Empress Walk, the largest outlet in the province so far. It was previously a Loblaws supermarket, which is owned by the same parent company.

The bakery offers over 150 varieties of goods.

The seafood section includes whole fish, a tank with crabs, lobsters, and more.

There is a fridge dedicated to Korean-style beef. Nearby freezers offer marinated meats to make cooking a bit faster.

The dessert section is huge with items from many Asian countries.

Noodles and snacks are also available plenty, including the simple packaging of chips from Japan due to the ongoing fuel crisis in the Middle East.
