Flying Above Toronto - Vaughan's Industrial Areas Photo Gallery

Named after a peace negotiator who helped end the US War of Independence, Vaughan was created in 1792 with the first settlers being Pennsylvanian Germans. British migrants came in droves after the War of 1812, with an Italian and Eastern European immigration influx after World War II.
Industrial areas dominate the landscape north of the metropolitan centre, which include warehouses and low-rise office parks.
These photos are taken south of Vaughan Mills mall and north of the metropolitan centre, where there are pockets of new residentials coming up along the arterial route, but otherwise remain mostly industrial.

Vaughan Mills opened in 2004 to skepticism over whether the enclosed shopping mall was still relevant. It is geared towards the outlet mall segment with over 200 shops.

Further south, the lands east of the metropolitan centre are also quite industrial with a massive rail yard.
