More Algonquin Park

Just before the km 40 mark, you will see a full parking lot. This is the start of the relatively easy Lookout Trail. Don't worry if you can't find a spot here. Further east is an overflow lot just a short walk away. There was even police on-site to keep everything orderly.

Upward and downward hikers are separated on the trail. The ascent is not difficult and the canopy had plenty of foliage to keep you busy photo-taking.

Despite the thick crowds at the parking lot, the trail is long enough and there are enough turns to keep everyone spaced out.

The ultimate reward is a viewpoint that looks across the park where the trees give way and the rocks hang perilously over a steep drop.

Once the selfies are finished, head downhill on another trail. The descent is steep and you get back to the parking lot much faster.
