Ginza
|
|
Ginza was the first entertainment and shopping district in Tokyo, dating to the Edo period (1603-1868). Tokyo's first depato, Mitsukoshi, was founded in this area, which once consisted of long, willow-lined avenues. The willows have long since gone, and the streets are now lined with depato and boutiques.
